    An actuary by training, Mélanie Beauvais has more than twelve years of professional experience in the field of retirement plan consulting. An expert in her field, she has given several seminars on the topic.

    After a several years at the National Bank as a financial planning advisor at the Centre d'expertise de Gestion Privée 1859, she recently joined Bachand Lafleur, Groupe Conseil Inc.

    Involved with the Institut québécois de la planification financière (IQPF), she is starting her second term on the board of directors and is now the Treasurer. In addition to her Financial Planner title, she holds a master's degree in taxation from the Université de Sherbrooke.

    Luc Godbout has a background in economics, a master's degree in taxation and a doctorate. He hold the Taxation and Public Finance Chair at the Université de Sherbrooke, and his research focuses on comparative taxation, intergenerational equity and fiscal sustainability. His expertise has even led him to advise governments.

    Notary, tax specialist and financial planner, Caroline Marion is an expert in the field of estates, trusts and tax-deferred plans.

    She obtained a Bachelor of Laws and a Master in Notarial Law from the Université de Montréal, a D.E.S.S. in Taxation from HEC Montreal and is a graduate of the IQPF since 2001. 

    She is a Trust Manager in the Personal Trust Services team at Desjardins Wealth Management and specializes in estate liquidation, estate, trust and personal income tax. 

    She has also taught at the college and university levels and regularly provides continuing education for both the IQPF and various professional orders.
