CSF to offer more resources and information dedicated to consumers

Montréal, November 29, 2024 - The Chambre de la sécurité financière (CSF) is pleased to present a new home page for its website, making it easier for the general public to access information. During fall, two visibility campaigns for the multi-disciplinary regulatory body in the national media – the “Faut qu'on se parle” campaign in collaboration with ÉducÉpargne, and branded content – were aimed at the same objective.

“The mission of the CSF is to protect the public through the training, ethics and discipline of financial services professionals. The professionals supervised by the CSF have important obligations, in particular to look after the best interests of their clients and offer them products and services that are truly suitable for them,” says Marie Elaine Farley, President and CEO of the CSF. “Today, we're redesigning our website to make it a richer platform for the general public to easily find answers to their recourse questions or what to expect from their advisor, and to direct visitors to useful and relevant resources.”

Right from the home page, users can now quickly find answers to key questions, such as the obligations of professionals supervised by the CSF, and how to prepare for a meeting with an advisor. As part of its mission to protect the public, the CSF also explains the avenues available should there be any doubts about the practice of one of its members.

What's more, the site's news section contains a wealth of information for the public, grouped into major issues such as retirement income inequalities between men and women, the elderly and vulnerable clientele, and responsible investment. Navigation is facilitated by labels on the major subject categories, allowing readers to pursue their reading interests.

Over the coming months, many other improvements will be made to the information and resources made available to the public by the CSF.
