The CSF presents its 2023 priorities
Montreal, March 21, 2023 - The CSF is proud to carry on its mission of protecting the public and to continue to evolve in harmony with the needs and changes in the financial products and services distribution industry. As its 2021-2023 strategic plan is nearing completion, the CSF has identified four major orientations for 2023 that will enable it to develop both its range of services and its methods of operation. To this, a strategic approach will be introduced that will Iead to the adoption of the 2024-2026 strategic plan.
Protecting the public continues to be the CSF’s foremost priority. The CSF is committed to ensuring the quality of its members’ services and to clearly communicating its role and responsibilities. As the end of the continuing education reference period takes place this year, significant efforts will be directed towards ensuring member compliance. For example, the rollout of the CSF Dealer/Firm Portal continues to provide firms with an opportunity to offer additional support to their attached advisors. The CSF will also launch an important system to assess the needs for continuing education and establish a professional development strategy to support the evolution of the profession in the years to come. In this regard, we have recently opened extensive consultations with various industry stakeholders.
Partnerships and collaboration with organizations and stakeholders who work in the financial sector or share the CSF's mission to protect the public will continue to be strengthened. For example, the partnership between the CSF and ÉducÉpargne will allow for the holding of events that meet both the information needs of the general public and the continuing education needs of CSF members. (Speaking of which, don’t miss our webinar on the TFFHSA on March 30, which has already garnered over 8,000 registrations and will provide a free PDU in mutual funds to CSF members.)
Finally, the CSF will continue to focus on its organizational performance by optimizing its operations in areas such as continuing education, digital document management and data development, and will maintain its sound governance practices and establish its next strategic plan.
For more information on the CSF’s activities and priorities, we invite our members to come and meet the management during the regional tour, which will be held in Saguenay on April 20 and in Gatineau on April 27, or to register as delegates to the AGM, which will be held on June 8 in Montreal.
